I didn't write anything yesterday...we stayed in Denver last night. We were making really good time and about 20 miles before we got to Denver a severe thunderstorm hit so we decided to get a room instead of trying to tackle the mountains on wet roads. Great Idea!! Today we left really early, had great weather all day, cold in the morning & mountains and hot in the afternoon in the desert. We rode 500 miles today and vacation hasn't really started yet...maybe by Tuesday! Here are a couple of pictures just to give you an idea of some of the things we are seeing. It is amazing how the scenery changes from one state to the next...

Looks like a backdrop from an old cowboy movie. Watch out for rustlers and bank robbers.
